Unplugged: Flowers for the Fairest

This spring we started a Mary Garden, for us a little plot of soil near our front door containing plants named in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary and dedicated to her. In medieval times flowers were named in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Many also were named to teach about Christianity. Flowers of Our Lady, a list that today stretches into the hundreds, served as reminders of her love for Jesus and her love for us. Continue reading

Blogathon Success?

The focus placed on the blog and on blogging in general during May really helped me to begin developing a sense of what it is I’m trying to do here. It helped me to understand what blogging can do, and to see how far I can take it if I want to. It also connected me to a group of great writers. Continue reading
